Santa Rita bets pledge peaceful elections

SANTA RITA, Pampanga – Local candidates in Santa Rita, Pampanga, joined a Unity Walk and Inter-Faith Rally on Thursday, February 27, as part of efforts to ensure a peaceful 2025 National and Local Elections. The event, organized with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and local police, aimed to promote fair and violence-free polls.

Mayoral candidates Art Salalila and Reynan Calo, who will face off in the upcoming elections, signed a Peace Covenant alongside other local bets. The agreement signified their commitment to refrain from violence, intimidation, and electoral fraud.

Officials emphasized that the initiative was crucial in fostering integrity in the electoral process. The event underscored the community’s call for clean, fair, and peaceful elections in Santa Rita.
