Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago served as guest speaker during the Pampanga High School Grand Alumni Homecoming on February 14 at the Kingsborough International Convention Center.
The said gathering is part of the school’s 110th Foundation Day.
The event was attended by graduates of the said school from 1946 until 2000 aiming to strengthen camaraderie, reminisce best high school memories and to meet old and new friends.
In his speech, Mayor Edwin ‘EdSa’ Santiago extended his congratulatory message to the Pampanga High School for achieving this significant milestone. He also lauded some graduates who have outstanding deeds and excelled in their fields.
“Sa tagal ng panahon, marami sa mga mag-aaral ng PHS na dati ay JASHS o Jose Abad Santos High School ang naging mga matagumpay sa kani-kanilang mga larangan at ito ang repleksyon ng kanilang simula, at dito po yun sa minamahal nating eskwelahan na Pampanga High School,” Santiago said.
Santiago was also an alumnus in Pampanga High School, he shared his unforgettable experiences and learnings in his Alma Matter. He also stressed the importance of humility towards achieving excellence.
“Lagi ko nga pong sinasabi, huwag nating kakalimutan ang ating pinanggalingan, huwag natin bibitiwan ang ating mga values na nakuha natin mula sa Pampanga High School, dahil babalik-balikan natin ito. Lagi natin tatandaan ang ating mga pinagmulan, dahil ang mga ito ay ang siyang panday ng ating tagumpay. Ito ang nagpalakas sa atin na harapin ang ating mga anging kinabukasan,” Santiago added.
Also present during the event were President of the Federation of Pampanga High School Jose Abad Santos High School Association Foundation (FEPJAAF) Col. Ernesto Dumas and Chairman of FEPJAAF Capt. Conrado Pacla.
