CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Vice presidential candidate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, reminded her supporters to observe physical distancing as they greeted and had pictures taken with her during her campaign here on Friday.
“Kailangan may social distancing (There must be social distancing),” she said, noting the Commission on Elections (Comelec) rules to observe minimum public health standards during sorties.
Duterte was seen flashing a placard reminding the people to be at least one meter apart.
She thanked Novo Ecijanos for the warm welcome accorded her and her team.
Duterte was with senatorial bet and former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista and House of Representatives Speaker Lord Allan Velasco.
When mobile, she used a microphone to greet people who were waiting along the national highway.
Emerging from the inauguration of one of her two campaign headquarters in the province, Duterte went across the Maharlika Highway to greet her supporters who were mostly clad in red and green shirts, had pictures taken with them, and briefly chatted with them.
“Maraming salamat sa mga taga-Nueva Ecija sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap (Thank you very much to the residents of Nueva Ecija for your warm welcome),” she said. (PNA)
