MANILA – Most parts of the archipelago will experience scattered rain showers due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao, a weather specialist said Monday.
Meno Mendoza of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said most parts of the Visayas and Mindanao will experience scattered rain showers or thunderstorms.
The ridge of high pressure area (HPA) is extending over Northern Luzon, and the easterlies continue to affect the rest of the country, he added.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have warm and humid weather due to the easterlies. Thunderstorms may be experienced in the afternoon or at night, according to Mendoza.
Light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas will prevail over Northern Luzon.PAGASA said the rest of the country will have light winds and slight coastal waters, except during thunderstorms.
