MANILA — Senator Lito “Ang Supremo” Lapid submitted his first batch of 10 priority bills on Tuesday afternoon, July 1, at the start of the 20th Congress. His proposed measures focus on improving healthcare services, including the establishment of electronic medical records for Filipinos.
Lapid also aims to provide greater protection and benefits for workers, especially those in the film and media industries. Another key bill seeks to uphold the rights of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), ensuring support and legal safeguards for affected communities.
The veteran lawmaker said the proposed laws reflect his commitment to social welfare and inclusive development, especially for sectors often neglected in policy-making.
