SGMA, Guv visit quake victims

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo joined Gov. Lilia Pineda to personally give condolences to the victims who died from the magnitude 6.1 earthquake which hit Pampanga on Monday. 

The House Speaker and the lady Governor with Porac Vice Mayor Dexter David, Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon, Lubao Mayoral candidate Esme Pineda and Senatorial Candidate Dado Pineda personally handed over bereavement assistances to a 56-year-old woman and her 6-year-old granddaughter Doris Paule and Niella Denise Paule; Adrian Charles Ocampo; Sophia Janes Arbis; Jovilyn Vera; Manilyn Dela Cruz and her children Jacob and Hailee; and Gerome Kyle Enriquez in Lubao and Porac town respectively. 

The lady leaders also pledged to coordinate with the families to cover all burial expenses of the victims who died in the earthquake.

One of the priorities, Gov. Pineda added, is rebuilding houses for the affected families and shouldering expenses for the bereaved families. 

Meanwhile, they also inspected the collapsed building of Chuzon Supermarket and asked the frontliners there about updates.

According to SGMA, workers from the supermarket will be assisted by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
