Sinas leads distribution of new rifles to CL Police

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGen. Debold Sinas led Monday the distribution of 500  Galil Ace 5.56mm basic assault rifles to the Central Luzon police force.

Police Regional Director PBGen. Valeriano De Leon said the additional rifles would boost and capacitate the firepower of mobile force personnel to assure the safety of the public against criminal elements and terrorist groups.

Moreover, Sinas inaugurated the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO 3) quarantine facilities.

“We converted container vans for this purpose. This is the immediate response of PRO 3 to the call of the Chief PNP to build quarantine and treatment facilities for police personnel with COVID-19. It is an area for isolation, recuperation and rest,” De Leon furthered.

Each container van is divided into two air-conditioned rooms which has a partition according to the standards set by Department of Health with one hospital bed, a table, chair and own toilet. Free Wi-fi access is also provided.

A total of 44 quarantine facilities was established inside the PRO 3 Headquarters in Camp Olivas.

“I am happy that PBGen. De Leon has already complied with these quarantine facilities that would cater to the needs of our uniformed and non-uniformed personnel,” Sinas said.

The official likewise opened the new Public Information Office.
