Following the appalling experience from the magnitude 6.1 earthquake on April 22 that jolted parts of Luzon particularly Pampanga which damaged buildings and causing casualties, SM City Clark with its Agency personnel, tenants, BPO, Park Inn, SM employees and mall customers, participated in the ongoing quarterly campaign of nationwide Earthquake Drill.
The mall aims to amplify preparation for earthquakes which may strike without warning and probable unfavorable situation during the rainy season. The evacuation drill will increase the chances of better recovery and implementation of contingencies in the event of disasters. The event also focus on evaluating the disaster response skills of the team.
The people who stood as support groups were the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO) Head Rosvie Henson and Bureau of Fire Angeles Chief Sonny A. Cario, SFO2 Mike Santos, FO1 Armando De Leon, and FO1 Sedfrey M. Tutaan. The importance of disaster preparedness and resiliency is key across SM’s operations, from its management down to the employees and mall frontliners.
