On December 17, SM City Pampanga hosted a press screening of Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King at its two Director’s Club Cinemas— the first of its kind outside Metro Manila. Located on the mall’s second level, these premium cinemas provide guests with exceptional comfort and an exclusive food menu.
Each cinema, with a seating capacity of 38 (plus two spots for persons with disabilities), features state-of-the-art amenities, including a laser projection system, Dolby Atmos sound, electronic premium leather seats, and doorbell service for on-call butlers. Tickets, priced at PHP 570, include popcorn and soda.
The film, an American epic musical action-adventure directed by Barry Jenkins, serves as both a prequel and sequel to the 2019 The Lion King remake. It boasts photorealistic animation and a star-studded cast, including returning members Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, alongside new cast members Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Tiffany Boone, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Lennie James, Anika Noni Rose, and Blue Ivy Carter in her feature film debut.
Assisting the press at the screening were SM regional operations manager Andrea Madlambayan and PR manager Venus Manalang.
This screening marked a milestone for SM City Pampanga, solidifying its position as a premier entertainment hub in Central Luzon.
