Volunteer employees from SM Savemore Market Apalit, SM City San Fernando Downtown and SM City Pampanga, as part of SM Foundation Inc.’s “Operation Tulong Express” (SMFI-OPTE), conducted a three-day relief operation to neighboring barangays which were affected by incessant rains last week.
Led by Building Administration Manager Bernadette Bautista, Mall Managers Lana Erroba and Liezl Carino, the employees distributed packed goods to flooded areas in the City of San Fernando such as barangay Sto. Rosario, Sta. Lucia, San Pedro and San Jose; Sto. Tomas, San Agustin in Guagua; Barangay Lagundi and Barangay Masamat in Mexico; Barangay Colgante, Sitio Batasan and Bagong Pag-asa Subdivision in Barangay San Vicente, Apalit.
For the three days of Operation Tulong Express, over 3,000 families affected by floods were given packed goods from SM Supermarket.
Efforts put, be it big or small, indeed, when put together make an overwhelming contribution especially when everyone has given their own little share to help others, according to SM officials.
Living by the motto “people helping people”, SM Foundation Inc., the socio-civic arm of the SM Group of Companies, havr launched the Operation Tulong Express, a relief operation campaign which distributes packed goods to barangays in the neighboring areas affected by flood.
