MALOLOS CITY — SM Malls based in Bulacan will participate this weekend in the Brigada Eskwela of Department of Education.
Volunteers from SM Baliwag, Marilao and San Jose de Monte will join hands in cleaning and preparing classrooms through carpentry works, paint jobs, repair and replacements of armchairs and desks, and restoration of school grounds.
“Brigada is our way of giving back to the communities they serve and also a perfect way of engaging employees in projects that drive change in society,” Mall Human Resources Manager Prescila Salamat said.
On top of the school restoration, volunteers will also pledge cleaning materials and brand new school supplies.
School beneficiaries include Ibayo Elementary School in Marilao, San Jose del Monte National High School and Catulinan Elementary School in Baliwag. (PIA 3)
