The Joint Tactical Inspection (JTI) and General assembly of security and agency personnel of SM Malls in Pangasinan and Tarlac was held on June 22, 2023 at SM City Rosales.
The annual activity aims to test the training management, emergency response skills, administrative efficiency and proficiency of security force assigned in SM Supermalls, SM Retail Group and its affiliates to ensure the safety of customers, employees and tenants.
During the JTI, security force’s firearms, gear, uniform, paraphernalia as well as communication equipment and other support gadgets were examined to ensure compliance to the standards set by the company. Likewise, agency personnel for janitorial services of the malls were also evaluated.
The Guest of Honor and Speaker of said event was PCol Jeff E. Fanged, Provincial Director of Pangasinan Police Provincial Office. Sharing honors were SVP for SM Supermalls Engr. Bien C. Mateo, SAVP for Customer Relations Service (CRS) of SM Retail Mr. Charleston M. Tan, AVP for CRS of Food and Retail Group Mr. Victor Santiago, SAVP for CRS of Shopping Center Management Corporation and SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SCMC-SMPHI) Mr. Almus J. Alabe, President of Belgian Security Mr. Ricardo V. Revita, AVP Engr. Marc Janssen T. Pe, and Regional Operations Manager for North 1 Ms. Rona B. Correa.
During the JTI, security and other agency personnel were also given certificate of commendation for their honesty and good deed in returning valuable recovered items to mall patrons.
