SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown hosted a successful community event in honor of World Rabies Day. The event brought together pet owners and animal lovers to promote awareness about rabies prevention and responsible pet care.
In partnership with the Olongapo City Veterinary Office, free anti-rabies vaccinations were provided. In addition, deworming treatments were available to promote overall wellness among the animal community.
Participants also enjoyed delightful paw treats from Nutri Chunks for their furry friends and had the chance to capture precious moments in their pet portrait station. These activities put a smile on the face of furparents, they were also educated about the importance of regular veterinary care.
World Rabies Day is observed annually on September 28, aiming to raise awareness about rabies prevention and to highlight the importance of vaccination for pets.
In their FB post, the City Veterinary Office thanked SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown and the fur parents for being models of responsible pet owners. “As more and more are vaccinated against Rabies, we are also creating a safer community. We are on the road to a Rabies-free Philippines,” it said.
