SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown once again joined the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on June 19, reaffirming its commitment to safety and preparedness. SM malls have been a consistent participant of NSED, supporting the government’s efforts in promoting disaster resilience.
The drill was conducted in coordination with the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP) and the local barangay.
Mall tenants, affiliates, agency personnel, and employees took part in the activity, by following proper evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols. Through regular participation in the NSED, SM ensures that its stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge and readiness to respond effectively in times of disaster.
