Supermalls waived rental payments of all of tenants nationwide as the country observes an enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus or COVID-19.
In a press statement, SM Supermalls President Steven Tan said: “We share our tenants partners’ concerns at the unfortunate situation and will waive rental charges for those affected and unable to operate during this period.”
SM Supermalls waived the rental payments from March 16 to April 14 to help tenants address the needs of their employees.
Earlier, the SM Management said it will allot P100 million to provide protective equipment and supplies for hospitals and medical frontliners.
