Subic Bay Freeport Zone — A historic step towards the revival of the country’s tourism industry was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the upcoming Subic Bay International Tourism Showcase 2026, to be held on March 19–21, 2026. The event aims to put Subic Bay back on the global tourism and investment map.
Under the theme “Meet You in Subic Bay!”, the Hospitality Alliance in Subic (HAS) and Afro-Asian World Events signed an agreement, highlighting Subic’s growing role as a hub for business, entertainment, and global connectivity.

Officials said it is time to revitalize tourism — to make it vibrant, productive, and profitable. The upcoming showcase is expected to open up more investment opportunities, increased revenue, and economic activities in the region.
Projects that will revitalize Subic Bay include new infrastructure such as a world-class golf course and expanded tourism facilities. With the help of the Subic Bay International Airport and modern roads connecting Subic, Manila, Bataan, and neighboring provinces, the Freeport Zone continues to be recognized as a major destination for foreign tourists and investors.

The organizers also noted that the world’s attention has once again focused on Subic Bay amid the continued influx of foreign tourists. The Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) were also commended for their programs and achievements that strengthen Luzon’s position as an economic and tourism hub.
Beyond tourism, the Subic Bay International Tourism Showcase 2026 also aims to strengthen local businesses by encouraging businesspeople, service sectors, and small entrepreneurs to participate in the resurgence of tourism in Subic.
As preparations for the event are in full swing, hopes are high that Subic Bay will once again shine as a symbol of progress, global unity, and warm welcome of Filipinos.
