Subic Bay Freeport – Bureau of Customs–Port of Subic headed by District Collector Maritess T. Martin conducted its 1st face-to-face Awarding of Plaque of Appreciation to its Top 20 Revenue Contributors via Zoom Video Conference and Facebook Live on April 26, 2022.
Collector Martin awarded the plaques together with the Deputy Collectors for Assessment and Operations, Chief-of-Staff, and Chief of Law Division.
Among the stakeholders awarded for 2021 were Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Top 1; Insular Oil Corporation, Top 2; Marubeni Philippines Corp., Top 3, PTT Philippines Corporation, Top 4; and Goldenshare Commerce and Trading Inc., Top 5.
Meanwhile, for the 1st quarter of 2022, the following importers were awarded: Top 1- Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Top 2 – Trafigura Philippines Inc., Top 3 – Insular Oil Corporation, Top 4 – PTT Philippines Corp., and Top 5 – Marubeni Philippines Corp.
The Top 20 Revenue Contributors of the Port were recognized for their continuous support and assistance to the Port allowing it to hit and surpass its monthly collection target for 2021 and the 1st quarter of 2022.
Updates were given on the Port’s accomplishments from 2021 to the present. Afterwards, a stakeholders’ forum was conducted to promote transparency and integrity and to address the stakeholders’ concerns.
The Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic under the leadership of BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero will continue to enhance stakeholder engagement as it aspires to fully transform the Bureau.
Collector Martin assured the stakeholders that the Port will strive more to serve them better and to ensure transparency and awareness in all the current updates, policies, and programs of the Port and the Bureau.
