Subic EnerZone celebrates 14th year of scholarship program

Subic EnerZone Corporation (SEZ) will host a special turnover program marking the 14th year of its ongoing commitment to providing educational opportunities to deserving students.

Since the program’s inception in 2010, SEZ has consistently aimed to help students secure a brighter future by offering financial assistance for their senior high school education. The program targets Grade 11 and Grade 12 students from public and private schools in Olongapo City.

The turnover event take place at SEZ’s administrative building, where the newly selected scholars and their parents will gather. As part of the program, SEZ will conduct an electrical safety orientation, underscoring the importance of safety education as an integral part of its community involvement initiatives. Guests, including parents and representatives from SEZ’s media partner.

This year, SEZ is continuing its commitment to supporting senior high school students by providing financial aid to 20 scholars from various public and private schools in Olongapo City.

SEZ offers different financial packages for public and private school students: PHP 7,300 for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students in public schools. PHP 14,500 for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students in private schools.

This assistance covers educational allowances to ease the financial burden on the scholars and their families. Scholars are also informed of project activities through regular communication channels, such as group chats.

All incoming students in Grade 11 who pass the exam, submit the required documents, and pass the interview are eligible to qualify for the scholarship program.

SEZ will continue to support these students through their Grade 12 year, provided they maintain the program’s academic requirements.

The scholarship program reflects SEZ’s dedication to community development, ensuring that deserving students are equipped with the necessary resources to excel academically and build a better future.
