Taqueria Chupacabra brings Cal-Mex classics to Pampanga

Sweet, spicy, tangy — all the explosive flavors of California – Mexican delish can now be devoured by Kapampangans after Taqueria Chupacabra opened its SM City Clark branch, a first at the Culinary Capital.

Mexicali Food Group President and CEO Chiqui Sy-Quia Mabanta said this iconic Mexican resto has been running for three decades.

In 2012, they (with his brother) decided to rebrand the place into an affordable outdoor dining setup.

“We wanted it to be like roadside taco night like sa streets ng Mexico, pupunta ka kahit naka-tsinelas ka lang and you’ll pick whatever you want. The same quity and taste of Mexicali pero mas casual at Chupacabra,” she added.

Being served at the Taqueria are street-style tacos, overstuffed burritos, grilled quesadillas, sizzling fajitas, fully loaded nachos and other inspired Cal-Mex classics. Price starts at P130 per serving.

“Lalo na tayong mga Kapampangan, we are picky eaters and we deserve only the best. Finally, you no longer need to travel to Poblacion, Makati to enjoy Mexican cuisine becase Taqueria Chupacabra is now open here in Pampanga,” added Clark branch owner Timber Ocampo, a Mexican deli fanatico.

Meat-free options are also served at the hub.
