REELECTIONIST Tarlac Gov. Susan Yap is running unopposed for her third term, her camp confirmed over the weekend.
Yap, who pushed for inclusive growth since she became governor in 2016, filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) for re-election on October 8.
In 2019, Yap also run unopposed for her second term.
She expressed gratitude to her fellow public servants in the provincial government for helping her achieve her plans and projects for the people.
Yap also thanked her constituents, saying it is “worth it” to serve them.
Yap’s brother, Second District Rep. Victor “Vic” Yap, is also seeking a third term. He was a former three-term governor. They switched places in 2016.
The Yaps are children of the late former Tarlac congressman and governor Jose “Aping” Yap.
