TARLAC CITY — Tarlac Police Provincial Office celebrated Monday the 29th Philippine National Police (PNP) Foundation Day.
The celebration is anchored on the theme “Patuloy na Pagbabago Tugon sa Bagong Hamon para sa Mapayapang Pamayanan” which signifies PNP’s continuing service to achieve public safety and peace.
“This calling is not a mere job, but a commitment and obligation, neither to oneself nor to the higher officials who give orders, but to the public at large,” Deputy Provincial Director for Administration Police Lieutenant Colonel Maria Theresa Pucay said.
Pucay also honored the policemen and women who have risked their lives while answering the call of duty.
“Let us continue to serve and protect our community and continue to provide relentless services to the people without asking something in return,” Pucay added.
PNP was created pursuant to Republic Act 6975 under a reorganized Department of the Interior and Local Government.
