TARLAC CITY — Sangguniang Panlalawigan imposed stricter restrictions on the mobility of unvaccinated and non-fully vaccinated individuals in the province of Tarlac to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“There is an urgent need to regulate the movement of individuals, who opted not get vaccinated despite the availability of COVID-19 vaccines, for the protection of public health,” Vice Governor Carlito David said.
Under Provincial Ordinance No. 01-2022, all unvaccinated and non-fully vaccinated individuals are instructed to stay at home at all times except when buying basic necessities.
These individuals may be allowed to go for an outdoor exercise but only within their barangay, purok, subdivision or village.
“Unvaccinated and non-fully vaccinated people are prohibited to enter indoor or al fresco food establishments, shopping malls, event venues, country clubs among others,” he stressed.
Moreover, domestic travel via public transportation by land, sea and air is prohibited except for the procurement of essential goods and services.
David underscored that they are required to undergo RT-PCR test every two weeks at their personal expense, and must present a negative result prior to being admitted for work onsite.
Violators may be fined from P500 to P3,000 while any business establishment that fails to comply will face charges from P3,000 to P5,000.
