Tatay Bong Pineda pushes pro-poor projects, honest elections in Pampanga

Arayat, Pampanga—Businessman and philanthropist Rodolfo “Tatay Bong” Pineda continues to solidify his reputation as a key figure in Pampanga’s socio-political landscape by holding public meetings today, January 5, in Arayat and Sta. Ana, both part of the province’s third district. These gatherings highlighted his unwavering commitment to enhancing pro-poor services and promoting grassroots development for the benefit of local residents.

Pineda’s advocacy for honest, orderly, and peaceful elections (HOPE) was a central theme in his addresses, emphasizing the importance of unity and integrity during the upcoming national and local elections. He urged political aspirants, public officials, and the community to work together to foster a transparent and respectful democratic process. Pineda stressed that mutual respect, adherence to the rule of law, and responsible political engagement are essential for building trust and ensuring a level playing field for all candidates.

During the meetings, Pineda was joined by aspiring senator and incumbent Congressman Rodante Marcoleta. Local leaders such as Arayat Mayor Maria Lourdes “Madir” Alejandrino, former Mexico Mayor Teddy Tumang and his daughter, congressional aspirant Dr. Hazel Tumang, aspiring Sta. Ana Mayor Dinan Labung with his son, re-electionist board member Lucky Labung, and aspiring board members Dr. Alfie Bonifacio and Atty. Raul Macalino, along with other municipal and barangay officials, also attended to show their support.

In his speech, Pineda announced an all-out campaign backing for Kambilan Party candidates, underscoring his dedication to community welfare. He revealed plans to distribute rice, groceries, livestock, and dressed chickens to constituents, alongside organizing dental and medical missions. This holistic approach to development aims to address immediate needs while laying the foundation for long-term improvements.

Pineda is also actively campaigning for his family members who are running in the upcoming elections. His wife, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, is seeking a return to the governor’s post, while his son, Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, is running for vice governor. His daughters, Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, is vying for the mayoralty in the City of San Fernando, while Esmie Pineda is seeking re-election as mayor of Lubao. Additionally, Pineda is throwing his full support behind the Nanay Party List, which aims to address social welfare and grassroots development at the national level.

Pineda also expressed his intention to make substantial investments in Arayat, focusing on eco-tourism, healthcare, education, and sports development. He believes these sectors are crucial to fostering sustainable growth and improving the quality of life for residents. By prioritizing these areas, he aims to empower the community and provide better opportunities for future generations.
