STA. RITA, Pampanga – Around 2,000 volunteer supporters joined the kick-off motorcade of Team CALOguran, led by mayoral aspirant Reynan Calo, just days after the official campaign period for local candidates began. The massive turnout demonstrated strong backing for Calo and his team as they launched their campaign in the municipality.
Calo expressed gratitude to his volunteers, emphasizing their unwavering support. “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa kanilang patuloy na suporta mula noon hanggang ngayon. Wala po itong plano, biglaan na lang,” he said, highlighting the organic nature of the gathering. His campaign focuses on improving healthcare and educational programs for Sta. Rita residents.
Running as an independent candidate, Calo aligns himself with key political figures in Pampanga, backing Governor Dennis “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Delta” Pineda, Congressman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and the Senate bid of former senator Lito Lapid. Despite his independent status, he enjoys broad support across different sectors.
Calo, currently the number one councilor of Sta. Rita, is joined by his slate of councilor candidates: JayR Arceo, Kim Cosme, Alex Cruz, Roy Galang, Nat Gopez, Jess Pineda, and Rico Sta. Cruz. Team CALOguran has garnered significant support from the youth, positioning them as strong contenders in the local race.
The team faces off against the Salalila brothers, who are also vying for control of the local government. With growing momentum, Calo and his team aim to translate their early campaign enthusiasm into electoral victory.
