In a powerful display of unity, Team “MySan Fernando” officially filed their Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) on October 7, 2024, at the Comelec Office in the City of San Fernando.
Mayoral candidate Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, re-electionist Vice Mayor BJ “Tiger” Lagman, and all ten city council candidates marched from the provincial capitol to the Metropolitan Cathedral for a morning mass before heading to file their COCs.

Pineda-Cayabyab was joined by her father, businessman Rodolfo Bong Pineda, Governor Dennis Pineda, and other family members.
Dr. Hazel Tumang, a Kambilan party member running for Congress in the third district, was also present, along with provincial board members Doc Alfie Bonifacio, Raul Macalino and Lucky Labung, Nanay Party-list representatives, and barangay officials, demonstrating a strong show of solidarity. Longtime supporters added to the momentum, reinforcing the team’s visibility.
Atty. Jun Torres Guiao, the CSF Comelec election officer, received the COCs.
The city council slate features re-electionists Rosemary “Nanay Kap” Calimlim, Ricky Olalia Hizon, Cristina “Tina” David-Lagman, Angel “Puti” Wijangco, and Dr. Ayzel Macalino. They are joined by a blend of new candidates and familiar faces, including Kristel “Ato” Agustin, Dr. Benjie Angeles, Tin “Kings” Chua, Rosalie “Alvin” Mendoza, and Perico Dizon Quiwa.
The candidates were introduced at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, followed by a lively entertainment segment and a press conference where they shared their plans for the upcoming election.
