Technical issues were hounding the delivery of $112 billion Emirates Airlines aircraft that include the double-decker A380s.
The technical issues stemmed from the new Rolls-Royce engines for A380 jets. The Emirates Airlines has the biggest number of A380 in its fleet after it scrapped the Airbus 330 and 340 from service.
Emirates Airlines has ordered 55 additional A380s that will be included in its fleet of large passenger aircraft.
Emirates Airlines executive Tim Clark said there were some technical issues holding up deliveries but did not comment further about the problem. “We want the engines as prescribed.”
“We have made no hard and fast decisions about fleeting draw down. We’re hoping to get resolution to this very quickly.”
