ABUCAY, Bataan – Popular Philippine comedian and former Bataan lawmaker and politician, Dexter “Teri Onor” Dominguez won as Best Actor (Short Film Category) in the recently concluded International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) 2020 Virtual Events.
Teri starred in a short film entitled ‘’Byaheng Madilim, (A Night’s Journey) written and directed by veteran TV and film director, Louie Ignacio who also won as Best Director and bestowed a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Teri Onor won over Michael Brantl of USA, the lead actor in a short film called “Walls”.
“Mabuhay ang Pelikulang Pilipino! Kaya panoorin nyo po ang aming Short Film na entry po natin sa International Film Festival Manhattan NYC at magugulat kayo na ibang Teri po ang mapapanood nyo,” Dominguez told his fans and supporters via his Facebook personal account.
Teri Onor (Dexter Dominguez) served as Vice Mayor of his hometown, the Municipality of Abucay and later as three-termer provincial board member of Bataan Province.
Twenty-two Filipino films have been selected for screening at the International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) being held as a virtual event this year amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The IFFM recently announced the Official Selection for its Virtual Events happening online from November 19 to 22, 2020, presented by LFP International Production Inc and co-presented by Tagline International, Oncue Media, and Binary.
Other countries represented in the IFFM 2020 aside from the Philippines, are USA, Canada, Bulgaria, Estonia, India, Japan, Colombia, Spain, Germany, Macau, China, Russia, Italy, Myanmar, Tibet, Austria, and Switzerland.
