Thousands of overseas job vacancies offered at OFW Bagong Pilipinas Caravan job fair in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA – The OFW Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan Job Fair, organized by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in partnership with the Provincial Government of Pampanga, provided thousands of overseas job opportunities to Kapampangans seeking employment abroad.

Over 2,000 Kapampangan job seekers line up applying for various positions, including welders, mechanics, and factory workers at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center  on February 25, 2025.

Employers were specifically looking for skilled workers to be deployed to Europe, the Middle East, New Zealand, Poland, Japan, and other destinations.

DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac emphasized the significance of these job fairs in providing accessible and legitimate employment opportunities.

“Our overseas job fairs serve as a safe and reliable avenue for Filipinos who aspire to work abroad. Programs like these are crucial in preventing illegal recruitment and human trafficking,” said Cacdac.

He also expressed his gratitude to Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda for their unwavering support in assisting Kapampangans in securing overseas employment.

As part of its commitment to protecting Filipino workers, the DMW reiterated its warning to job seekers to apply only through legitimate job fairs and accredited recruitment agencies to avoid scams and illegal recruitment.

To further assist applicants, the event also featured a one-stop shop offering government services from PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, SSS, NBI, and OWWA, providing essential support for documentation and other employment requirements.

The OFW Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan Job Fair is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance employment opportunities, worker protection, and welfare programs for Filipinos seeking to build their careers abroad.
