ANGELES CITY– Three male transgender were arrested Friday night in Barangay Malabanias here after they “delivered” for sexual services a minor and seven other girls to a customer who turned out to be an agent of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Lawyer Archie Albao, regional NBI special investigation officer, identified the suspects as Jeffrey Becaylas, Kier Rome, and Justine Lumanlan.
Albao said they were charged yesterday for qualified trafficking without bail and held at the NBI regional office in the capital city of San Fernando.
Albao said he himself had posed as customer after encountering the Facebook account of Becaylas which featured the photos of at least 52 young girls, including minors, for “dates” with any customer.
Albao said he had arranged for the “services” of six girls for P24,000. During the supposed “delivery” of the girls, Albao asked for two more girls who later arrived, including one who was aged only 16.
When Albao turned over the P24,000, which consisted mostly of mere bond paper cut outs, his agents swooped down on the three transgender males.
Albao said the three suspects are facing qualified trafficking charges which are unbailable.
The victims aged 18 and above were turned over to their parents, while the minor was turned over the the Haven Center for juveniles in Magalang, Pampanga.
