On October 18, 2024, The Medical City Clark’s Hospital Infection Prevention and Control and Epidemiology Center celebrated International Infection Prevention Week at the Multipurpose Hall. Themed “Health starts in your hands; Safety starts with me,” the event gathered nurses, doctors, Hemodialysis unit patient partners, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and allied health services to promote infection prevention.
In partnership with Fujifilm, NuPon, and Kohl, the event focused on hand hygiene, cough etiquette, proper use of PPE, and enhancing immunity through nutrition. Educational sessions were led by Dr. Vince Yabut, Ms. Lorna Rica Cobcobo, Dr. Limuel Joseph V. Bacani, Ms. Claudette Ann Sta. Ana, and Dr. Maria Theresa S. Go Que.
The celebration featured the launch of a special Infection Prevention video, underscoring the importance of hand hygiene. TMC Clark employees participated in a fun interactive game, “The Case of the Mystery of the Hand,” followed by a raffle with exciting prizes.
