MANILA, Philippines – The Tour of Luzon, the country’s most storied multistage cycling race, is making a grand comeback. The revival was formalized through a tripartite partnership signed on Monday between Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), DuckWorld PH, and Cignal, with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) witnessing the agreement. The partnership aims to enhance regional collaboration along the race routes and solidify the event’s status as a premier summer sporting spectacle.

Adding to the race’s prestige, the final lap will take place in the historic Camp John Hay in Baguio City, thanks to the support of BCDA and John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC). The scenic and challenging terrain of the mountain city is expected to provide an epic conclusion to the competition, testing the endurance and determination of participating cyclists.
“The legendary race, with its roots tracking back to 1955, has captivated the nation for decades,” said BCDA Chairperson Atty. Hilario B. Paredes. From its early days as a Manila-to-Vigan race to its evolution into the iconic Tour of Luzon, the event has become a testament to the resilience and grit of Filipino cyclists. With its return, organizers hope to reignite the passion for cycling and inspire a new generation of athletes to push their limits.
