An active low-pressure area (LPA) is expected to develop into a full-fledged storm within the next 24 hours after absorbing another LPA within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
If it intensifies into a tropical storm, it will be named #KristinePH by PAGASA.
There is still a possibility that it could make landfall in #Luzon next week.
