Senator Cynthia Villar re-appealed to policymakers to consider daily wage workers to be allowed to work as soon as possible ‘in order not to get hungry as no amount of relief and government support will be enough to feed them’.
Villar added that the senate will also find ways and means to help daily earners adapt to the new normal.
With the pandemic affecting the country, enhanced community quarantine in high-risk areas in Luzon is extended until May 15.
