Violators on mandatory use of facemask celebrate 122nd independence Day in jail

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO , Pampanga –Provincial Police Office apprehended a total of 354 violators of Ordinance 756 or “Facemask Ordinance of Pampanga” which penalize non-abider at least Php 20,000 fine or 1-6 months of imprisonment for not wearing mask in public places. 

From period of May 16 to June 10, the 354 violators were detained  at the police station on their respective places they’ve caught. 

Police Provincial director , PCol Jean Fajardo said that the Provincial Government is serious on implementing rules and regulations in Pampanga. “All arrested person were charged for violation of Ordinance 756 and their cases shall be referred to the Prosecutors Office” she said. 

Most persons apprehended aged between 19-40 years old. they can appeal and bail 3,000 pesos

Most law violators were arrested in City of San Fernando with 84 while highest number of violators in the municipality were in Apalit with 70. 

While Floridablanca listed only 1 violator for the Ordinance. 

Pampanga PPO listed 14 violators for Arayat, Bacolor with 6, Candaba with 16, Guagua with 8, Lubao with 14, Mabalacat City with 21, Macabebe with 6, Masantol got 12, In Mexico 33, porac had 15, San Luis listed only 2, San Simon got 15, Magalang, Sasmuan and Sta Rita lists 4, Sta Ana with 9 and Sto Tomas with 7. 

Ordinance 756 was passed on the province in the month of April and shall be effective until the Department of Health (DOH) declares that the threat of COVID-19 no longer exists.
