CLARK FREEPORT ZONE – The Medical City Clark in cooperation with SM Supermalls, collaborated with the Tarlac Youth Choral (TYC) last Saturday, April 22, and surprised mall goers of SM City Pampanga and SM City Clark as they sang their astounding rendition of “It’s Raining Men”. This is in observance and celebration of Head and Neck Consciousness Week to promote vocal hygiene and preventive health.
The trendy video, uploaded by The Medical City Clark on its official fan page on Wednesday, April 26, shows the chorale wandering along with other shoppers, and suddenly swarming into a song performance. The astonished crowd immediately grabbed their phones to record their performance.
The conductor of TYC, Joshua Fontanilla, 21, said the flash mob chorale experience was tiring yet fulfilling and exciting, “First-time ko po kasing gawin iyon. (It is my first time to do that kind of performance.).”
Christian Liwag, 20, commended the performance. “I really like their performance and as a theater actor, it immediately grabbed my attention so it is really effective to give out their word,” he said.
After posting the video on Facebook, it instantly garnered positive feedbacks and a handful of re-shares and likes.
According to Ms. Evelyn L. Yumul, Sales and Marketing Director of The Medical City Clark, “This advocacy aims to emphasize the importance of vocal care that is most commonly neglected by the general public. We don’t even realize that these problems may bring significant changes in our lives, if left unchecked and untreated.”
In line with this advocacy, Ms. Yumul added, “TMC Clark and its newly-opened Voice and Swallowing Center will also be offering free ENT screening and consultation on April 24 to 29 to urge the public for early detection.” Interested mall-goers dropped by the TMC Clark booth to pre-register.
The Voice and Swallowing Center of TMC Clark is manned by board-certified specialists and a multi-disciplinary team complemented with advanced diagnostic equipment, to name a few; Flexible Laryngoscope and Stroboscope, being the first and only of its kind in the Province of Pampanga. Aside from voice and swallowing, it is also integrated with specialties in hearing and dizziness. For more information, contact The Medical City Clark at 045-300-8888 loc. 80008 or 0916-448-8046.
