The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) will expand operations of the STL next year in a bid to contain the illegal numbers games ‘jueteng’, ‘masiao’ and ‘last two.’
But the drive against illegal gambling will not shed blood, according to PCSO Chairman Jose Jorge Corpuz noting that “it will be exciting.”
The PCSO has already submitted to President Rodrigo Duterte the matrix of illegal gambling operations in the country and how it plans to resolve it.
The PCSO have already come up with a list of gambling lords nationwide, according to Corpuz.
By expanding the STL operations next year, the PCSO seeks to end all forms of illegal gambling such as the illegal numbers games ‘jueteng’ in Luzon, ‘masiao’ in the Visayas and ‘last two’ in Mindanao.
Last week, government authorities arrested more than 1300 Chinese nationals at the Fontana Resorts inside the Clark Freeport Zone where they operate an illegal online gambling facility.
The Chinese nationals on tourist visas will undergo deportation proceedings.
