Lubao Breaks Ground for Pradera Verde Circuit

LUBAO, Pampanga — A new chapter in Philippine motorsport is unfolding in the town of Lubao with the groundbreaking of the Pradera Verde Circuit (PRVC), a world-class race track designed by globally renowned Tilke Engineers & Architects — the firm behind several Formula 1 circuits across the globe.

Envisioned to be the most advanced racing facility in the country, PRVC is the result of a strategic partnership between Tilke and local businessman and civic leader Rodolfo “Tatay Bong” Pineda. The project carries the theme “Precision. Power. Pradera.” and is poised to position Pampanga as a premier destination for motorsport tourism in Southeast Asia.

“This has been my dream for a long time — to bring global attention to Lubao and Pampanga through sports and tourism,” said Tatay Bong Pineda, who is spearheading the development. “We want to uplift the local economy by building world-class recreational hubs that put our province on the map.”

The 4.8-kilometer circuit, set in Barangay Prado Siongco, will feature 17 technical turns, an average lap speed of 155 km/h, and maximum speeds of up to 255 km/h. It will be the first of its kind in the country, offering three different track configurations, two club loops, a dedicated drag strip, a signature V-shaped pit building with 44 garages for dual-track operations, and luxury trackside villas for private use and VIP access.

“The design of this racetrack not only reflects engineering innovation but also signals strong intent toward building future-ready infrastructure that benefits the local community,” said Ar. Hisham Tilke, son of renowned circuit designer Hermann Tilke, during the launch ceremony.

Construction is expected to take approximately 18 months, with a target completion date set for late 2026. Once operational, PRVC is anticipated to draw both local and international motorsport events, boosting tourism, hospitality, and allied industries in the region.
