IBA, Zambales — The provincial government of Zambales urged students of Ramon Magsaysay Technological University (RMTU) to utilize the benefits of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) integration.
In his message during the ASEAN Campus Forum of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) at RMTU, Provincial Public Relations Officer Ar-jay Magpantay encouraged students to work hard in their studies because they are considered as a driving force for progress and development of the whole nation and ASEAN region.
“Work hard on your studies and be a productive citizen of our country because this is one of your ways on how to help your family, your country and be part of the ASEAN integration,” Magpantay said.
“ASEAN tells us to unite as one because if we are all united, nothing is impossible,” he stressed.
“As part of hyping the Philippine Chairmanship of the ASEAN this 2017, PIA in Central Luzon will be holding campus forums in different provinces to educate and pitch support from the youth in this endeavor,” PIA Regional Director William Beltran said.
RMTU was the sixth campus it visited after Tarlac State University, Central Luzon State University, Aurora State College of Technology, Tarlac Agricultural University, and Bataan Peninsula State University.
Other educational institutions it will visit this year include Pampanga State Agricultural University, and Bulacan State University.
