BAGAC, Bataan – In a bid to strengthen wildlife conservation efforts, Zoobic Safari Corporation has set up temporary shelters for rescued animals within the compound of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) community office in this town.
The project aims to provide safe and secure holding areas for wildlife turned over by citizens, government agencies, and organizations, amid the growing number of animal rescues in Central Luzon.

The enclosures are designed in compliance with wildlife handling standards and will serve as transitional spaces for fauna awaiting proper rehabilitation or release back into the wild.
DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo thanked Zoobic Safari for its support, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships in biodiversity protection.

“Through this collaboration, the DENR community office in Bagac has become more capable as a receiving center and temporary sanctuary for rescued fauna,” Pablo said.
The DENR said the shelters will help fill gaps in regional rescue capacity while advancing awareness and action on wildlife protection.
