CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, March 18 (PIA) — Police Regional Office 3 urges the public to abide by the Enhanced Community Quarantine rules which they will strictly implement.
“Arrests can be made when there are justifiable grounds like if those being prevented from entering and exiting the boundaries go as far as harming officers of the law while being inspected,” Police Regional Director PBGen. Rhodel Sermonia said.
Sermonia has been inspecting places of public convergence to check if the guidelines set forth by the government are strictly observed by the public.
Relatedly, yesterday, a group of rallyists protesting in front of Yokohama Tire Philippines were encouraged by Sermonia to disperse peacefully in line with the enforcement of Enhanced Community Quarantine and Stringent Social Distancing Measures.
Meanwhile, Police Regional Health Service 3 in partnership with Department of Health conducted this morning a seminar to further the knowledge and skills of the police acting as front liners in the quarantine areas.
“The seminar aims to equip participants with the right knowledge on what is coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as well as its signs and symptoms and preventive measures to stop its spread,” Sermonia said.
Part of the seminar was a lecture and demonstration of the proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment being used by health workers and front liners while responding to cases of COVID-19.
