Shabu worth P6.8 million were seized during a buy-bust operation in a restaurant parking lot in Pasay City on August 25, 2019.
PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino said the illegal drug was seized from suspects identified as Maheed Abinal and Moamar Musa, who were arrested at around 2:45pm by joint elements of PDEA Special Enforcement Service (PDEA SES) under the supervision of Director Levi S. Ortiz, PDEA RO-NCR, PDEA BARMM and local police in a restaurant parking lot along Roxas Boulevard, Barangay 76 Zone 10, Pasay City.
Confiscated from the suspects were suspected shabu weighing more or less one kilogram, with an estimated value of Php6,800,000.00, one mobile phone, and the buy-bust money.
Abinal and Musa will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
