BOC Port of Subic opens Customer Care Center

Subic Bay Freeport Zone – In a bid to institute reforms in its systems and processes, the Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Subic formally opened the Customer Care Center (CCC) on Tuesday.

The CCC–Subic  aims to stem the systemic corruption in the Bureau through a faceless transaction.

Under the new system, the stakeholders will be restricted from directly transacting with any Customs officials, examiners, appraisers and other personnel of the Bureau to minimize the opportunity for illegal practices. The CCC will be the main focal point of BOC stakeholders for all customs-related inquiries. The CCC will serve as a central hub or One-Stop-Shop for Customs-related transactions such as document receiving and releasing, payment, document tracking, information, among others.

District Collector Maritess Martin has commended BOC-Subic employees who have committed themselves to make CCC possible.

Martin emphasized the importance of instituting reforms and modernization for a streamlined customs administration in line with international standards
