17 Fernandino couples exchanged vows during the “Kasalan king Barangay Calulut” held over the weekend at the St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Church.
The said event was sponsored by the barangay council of Calulut headed by Captain Angel Wijangco in partnership with the City Government of San Fernando through its Community Affairs Division.
Captain Angel Wijangco.
The mass wedding ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. Ching Fuertez, parish priest of St Vincent Ferrer Parish Church and organized by the Catholic Women’s League Calulut and Sindalan Chapter.
Wijangco also expressed his gratitude to the local government of San Fernando for giving their support to make this event possible and successful.
In his speech, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago encouraged the Fernandino couples to become responsible parents and strengthen their families, since it is the basic unit of society.
Also present during the event were City Councilors Harvey Quiwa, Nelson Lingat and Reden Halili.
