CITY OF SAN FERNANDO- More than 1,900 undergraduates joined yesterday the orientation for the first batch of this year’s Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) held at
the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, here.
Vice
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda together with Provincial Employment and Services Office (PESO) Chief Luningning Vergara welcomed the disadvantaged youth together with their parents/guardians.
Part of the orientation is the contract signing between the SPES beneficiaries and the government wherein they will be deployed to the different barangays in the province to do social and office work for a maximum of 18 days.
According to Vergara, SPES is an excellent training ground for the students to become responsible Kapampangans.
