PHLPost announces ‘Salamat Po’ grand raffle winners

SAN PABLO CITY – Its PHLPost turn to say “Salamat Po” to more than 400,000 students from all over the country who wrote and mailed personal “Thank You letters” through the “Salamat Po (Thank You) Letter Writing Promo”, which has drawn two (2) winners of P50,000 in the grand raffle event held at Canossa School in San Pablo City, Laguna.

The lucky winners are Shaina Gammayao of Ballesteros National High School in Cagayan (Student Category) and Liezel Capate of Tacloban City (Employee Category).

Now on its fourth year, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) aims in introducing to Young People the virtue of gratitude through letter writing and to effectively promote and develop the student’s skills in composition.

Postmaster General Joel Otarra congratulated the winners and urged students and schools to continue participating in this project, as this will not only please the recipient of the letter, but will also provide an opportunity to win in the grand draw.

PHLPost has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (KWF) to institutionalize letter writing as a tool to develop the writing skills of elementary and high school students.
