A Foton closed van allegedly lost its brakes and crashed into a residential area alongside the Olongapo-Gapan Road in Brgy. Bangal, Dinalupihan, Bataan early Tuesday morning.
According to initial reports, a car and a house were damaged in the accident, and there were no reported deaths or serious injuries.
According to witnesses, the truck driver named Roland Payongan and truck helper Roland Cayongan immediately jumped out before the vehicle hit a parked car (Ford Lynx) and a house in the area owned by Marietta Gacita and Ernesto Kenpis.
The MBDA, Olongapo Fire Rescue, Dinalupihan Police, Dinalupihan BFP Medics, various rescue teams, and Penelco immediately responded to the accident site.
The injured driver and helper were immediately brought to James Gordon Hospital in Olongapo City.
