300 foodies troop at JCI Angeles Culiat food taste fest

More than 300 food enthusiasts trooped and accepted the challenge for an ultimate food experience at the first ever Pampanga Food Taste event organized by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Angeles City Culiat Chapter.

The food taste affair is a fundraising event which seeks to support less fortunate Angeleños under the flagship program of JCI Culiat coined as Alay Skills.


Each 24 participating food establishments presented two among their specialties, these are: Rancio’s Grill, House of Chops, Sakura, Apag Marangle, Esting’s Bellychon, B&B Grill, Urban Table Bistro, Urban Crunch, Fortune Tea House, B&P Bulalo and Pares, Benedito Peri Peri Chicken, Garaje88 Grill, Organic Honey Supplier, Tempura Zen, Toll House, Century Vine, The Black Plate, Chef Series by Fresh Options, Ulam Mismo by Fresh Options, Crispinoy and Merry-nades by Fresh Options, Sushi Box, Café Noelle, Meats and Match, and Robbie’s.

Hungry tastebuds were allowed to savour bits and bites of their house specialties, and were asked to rate the food samples from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest).

At the end of the event, Toll House was hailed best among the rest which garnered an average rating of 4.15 in taste and 4.02 in creativity category. The other winners were House of Chops (1st place), Urban Crunch (2nd place) and Sakura (3rd place).

JCI ACC Member and Project Chairman Gabriel De Luna said the winner is entitled for a free one month social media marketing by Prodigy and an opportunity to be featured by the partner bloggers like Where in Pampanga, Pampanga Bloggers Society and When in Angeles.

Among the upcoming activities of JCI Angeles City Culiat Chapter is a car show event in celebration of Father’s Day in June, and series of free workshops on make-up and hair grooming.

De Luna highlighted that this is also part of the JCI Week being celebrated nationwide from April 16-22 and in accord with the Jaycee Creed “Economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise.”
