Some 300 Orani residents volunteered to maintain the cleanliness in the town for the upcoming ‘Linis Alay kay Maria’ religious festival.
First District Rep. Geraldine Roman recognized their efforts, calling them “warriors” of the environment. With this, the Congresswoman personally pledged to fund their salary for helping the town’s cleanliness.
“This is also to help them save income for their family, and put food on their table,” she said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Efren ‘Bondjong’ Pascual Jr. cited their volunteerism, and then reminded the public to be disciplined in practicing proper waste disposal.
