4 drug peddlers arrested in drug buy bust

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A group of illegal drugs traffickers believed responsible behind the distribution of methamphetamine hydrochloride in Quezon City and Pampanga was busted by the police following the arrest of four suspects during a drug bust along By-Pass Road, Barangay Sindalan, City of San Fernando over the weekend, top official of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit announced. 

Police Captain Vladimir Canape, officer-in-charge of the RDEU, stationed in this regional police headquarters, identified the suspects as Acmali Francisco, alias Balbas; Mohammer Hadji Ganda; Jalal Mauyag, all residents of Sangandaan, Quezon City and Michael Evance Villacorta, alias Kim, of Bgy. San Isidro in this city. 

Canape said all suspects are included in the list of high-value target personalities due to their alleged involvement in illegal drugs trade in Pampanga and rest of Central Luzon. 

“The suspects are considered notorious drug peddlers,” said Canape. He said the suspects were having a drug deal with poseur buyer cop when surrounded by policemen from RDEU and other police units sending them to surrender. 

More than 810 grams of shabu were seized by the police from suspects possession. Also found inside the vehicles were illegal drugs paraphernalia, marked money, a caliber .45 pistol, cellular phone and a sling bag. 

A black Nizzan Exalta and orange Toyota Vios, believed used by the suspects in transporting shabu were placed under the custody of RDEU. Canape said violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and illegal possession of firearms charges are being readied against the suspects. 

Recently, 20 suspected illegal drugs traffickers were arrested by government anti-narcotics agents during raid at Bgy. Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales.
