444 Filipino repatriates cleared to return home

Some 444 Filipino repatriates of the MV Grand Princess held off in Oakland, California will finally return home on Monday, as they did not display any COVID-19 symptoms.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the repatriates are among the crew and passengers of the said COVID-19 hit cruiseship.

DFA Asst. Secretary Ed Meñez said all 444 were screened and given health clearances by the US Dept.of Health and Human Services.

This also includes permits for disembarkation, as well as land transfer to a chartered plane.

Furthermore, upon arrival, the repatriates shall be subjected to a 14-day quarantine period in New Clark City.
